The Grid ("we", "us", or "our") operates thegridf1.net. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect information you provide directly to us:
- Account information — name, email address, and password when you register
- Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We never store your full card number
- Preferences — your favourite driver and team selections, stored locally in your browser
- Usage data — pages visited, features used, session duration, collected via Cloudflare Analytics
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
- To provide, maintain, and improve The Grid service
- To process payments and manage your subscription
- To send you service-related communications (subscription confirmations, expiry reminders)
- To personalise your dashboard experience
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
DATA STORAGE
Your account data is stored securely in Cloudflare KV, a globally distributed key-value store. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store payment card details on our servers.
Dashboard preferences (favourite driver, team) are stored in your browser's local storage and are not transmitted to our servers.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
We use the following third-party services:
- Stripe — payment processing (Privacy Policy)
- Cloudflare — hosting, analytics, and security (Privacy Policy)
- OpenF1 — live Formula 1 timing data (no personal data shared)
- Google Fonts — typography (font files only)
COOKIES
We use minimal cookies necessary for authentication (session tokens). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare Analytics is privacy-preserving and does not use cookies to track individuals.
DATA RETENTION
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or your subscription expires without renewal, your data is removed within 30 days.
YOUR RIGHTS
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Export your data in a portable format

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The Grid is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
